There is a large free car park adjacent to the Show Field. From the main entrance the bus station is 100 metres and the train station is 200 metres.
There are regular bus services from and to Barnsley, Sheffield, Huddersfield, Stocksbridge (see Travel South Yorkshire). Also there are regular trains from and to Sheffield, Huddersfield, Barnsley, Leeds, Manchester (see Northern Rail).
